I would like to say I chose photography. I would like to say I knew from a very young age that I would take pictures and become a world famous photographer. I would like to say I had this plan paved out for me from the start and I am exactly where I wanted to be in my life. But, that’s not the case.
Photography chose me.
I wanted to be an artist. I wanted to be a teacher. A lawyer. A Xena Warrior Princess’ daughter saving the world at every turn. But, the fact of the matter is, I’m no Warrior Princess’ daughter, or a lawyer. I did, however, strive to be an artist. An after school black and white film class grabbed a hold of me when there was no more room in ceramics. Originally, ceramics was where I thought I would be to become an artist.
Again, Photography chose me.
I felt compelled to photograph every thing, person, and plant in sight. It was an addiction I chose not to fight off, and pursued it into my adulthood.
Now, I choose Photography.
I choose to photograph fashion and beauty with an editorial flare and dramatic color palette. I choose to photograph a variety of people because I love the structure and contours of faces and bodies. I choose fashion as my accessory to studio and location sets. With these choices at hand…
I am Lioness Photography.
